Leading with Intention

Intentionality.

It has become a buzz word of sorts for me - a word I am finding myself using a lot in conversations and how I lead and shape my business on the backend.

Intentionality, for me, is really sitting in it, taking a pause to gain clarity and not rushing to make a decision, whether that be for personal or income gain. It is reaching out to individuals and businesses that selfishly align with what I look for in my own self morally and what shapes my business compass. I love a good collaboration - something this introvert feeds off of.

It’s about being intentional, too, with how I spend my personal time with Wes, family, and friends as well as my physical and mental well-being.

With the time that I have “gotten back”, I am able to use my weekends to work here and there, but also rest, recharge, and not be at the same speed from the work week. Wes and I have plans to go back home to Michigan in April and possibly a few more times in the summer and I make sure to carve out time for family dinners at my parent’s or brother’s house.

I think it’s very controversial, but I do not think there is a work-life balance, but rather, priorities - what goes to the top of your list each day? What are the non-negotionables? I realize some days I am not the greatest wife because I am in a groove with my work responsibilities - or I haven’t checked in on my family in a bit and need to do that. Or, when it’s up to me when I’m going to take some time for a very slow morning and not worry about work.

Winter was REAL rough.. Living in Syracuse, NY, there will, undoubtedly, be long stretches of cold, gray, and miserable weather days here. And this year, I could not get out of my own way - physically and mentally.

The good part is, there is ALWAYS a reset button and Spring has given way for me to reevaluate my personal and business life, especially Q2. I am easing back into my 5am workout schedule, staying regular with my therapy appointments, and just being more in tuned with what I need to work on.

Speaking of being intentional with business, I am excited with the direction The Assist will be heading come April 7th - our ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY! I honestly can’t believe it. As a professional who has held space in the executive and administrative spaces for over 15 years, I am excited to go a step further with another tier dedicated to being even more hands on with the work I do and offering future and current clients more relief in their every day.

I am looking forward to taking this next leap as a business owner and share with you what I have been working on for a minute now.

Cheers.

Christina
